Born in Konstanz and growing up in Hamburg, I published my first poetry collection in 1996. Translation work in various areas and dramaturgical work within a dance-theatre ensemble in Cyprus were followed by a writing workshop in Egypt and a spell of years of gallery activity in Hamburg. I have studied at the Universities of Hamburg, Trondheim and Oslo, holding a BA in Philosophy and ancient Greek and a MA in German language and literature. For the time being I am combining translating, project consulting and language teaching with the completion of a new poetry collection and a major prose work. Recently I have also had the pleasure of teaching German literature at the University of Oslo.
